During 10-14th of July, Quercus Group is part of the Danish delegation that takes part in the International Water Week and World Cities Summit in Singapore and will co-organise a seminar on Smart City World Labs.
The International Water Week and World Cities Summit represents an integrated platform for companies and governments from all over the world to showcase and co-create best solutions for cities. In this context, Quercus Group will arrange a Smart City World Labs Seminar, together with Gate 21, Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore, DTU and Industriens Fond, as part of the International Water Week and World Cities Summit.
The seminar will take place on 13th of July, 14:00 – 17:00 and will address the challenges of the urbanised world and citizens’ needs. Guests will share best practices and policies, and discuss the idea of a global network of visionary urban front-runners to drive the advancement of sustainable and liveable cities through living labs.
The invitation is open to industry and government leaders, city officials, urban planners, and academia looking for an innovative platform to push the boundaries of smart city ideas through collaboration and open engagement.
For the past year, Quercus Group has been involved in a variety of projects that bridged Danish and Singaporean capabilities within smart cities. Examples include the report - “Co-creating the Cities of Tomorrow – Danish Smart City Competencies in the Singaporean Market” delivered by Quercus Group and commissioned by the Danish Royal Embassy in Singapore, and the newly launched Smart City World Labs – Danish-Singaporean collaboration platform.
Cities face tremendous challenges such as increased urbanisation, pollution and climate change. Working with the concept of smart city prepares urban areas to tackle these challenges for the benefit of people.
